Ross Moffatt
Grand View University former Player (All-American/Hall of Fame) & Coach “Moving to the United States was one of the scariest, most exciting, and ultimately most transformational decisions I’ve ever made. I came over at a point where my football had lost a bit of momentum, and if I’m honest, I’d lost some confidence and love for the game as well. What I found in the U.S. was exactly what I needed, a fresh environment, daily competition, and a group of lads who quickly became lifelong friends. It gave me the space to fall back in love with football while also gaining an education that set me up for life beyond the game.
The experiences I had on the pitch were incredible, but it’s the relationships and memories that stay with me the most. That decision didn’t just change my football career, it shaped my life. I’ve built a life here in the States that wouldn’t have been possible had I stayed at home, and I’ll always be grateful I took that leap.
If you’re considering that path, I can’t recommend the guys at Elite Athlete Pathways enough. They’ve lived it themselves, they understand both sides of the journey, and they’ll meet you where you’re at with honesty, clarity, and a plan that’s actually tailored to you.”
"My journey to the USA opened doors I never imagined. It gave me the chance to develop in a professional environment, compete at a high level, and earn a degree alongside my football, while also experiencing and enjoying life in the United States.
The experience both on and off the pitch helped shape who I am today and allowed me to build a career in the game ultimately leading me to become a Head Coach within the NCAA.
Looking back, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and it’s a pathway I would strongly recommend to any young athlete willing to take the opportunity”
